The latest season of “Dancing With the Stars” might be over, but things are still heating up behind the scenes.
Pro dancer Witney Carson was accused of shading fellow contestant Dylan Efron in a series of private texts with her husband, Carson McAllister, before the show’s highly anticipated Season 34 finale on Tuesday night.
The messages, which Carson shared on Instagram before quickly deleting the post, caught the newest “DWTS” champion and her hubby discussing why Dylan’s famous brother, Zac Efron, was in the audience for the semi-finals on Nov. 18.
“Zac Efron is here,” McAllister, 32, wrote.
“I saw! They are trying to get votes,” Carson, 32, responded, suggesting that the “High School Musical” star was only there to help Dylan win the coveted Len Goodman Mirrorball Trophy.
The subsequent messages appeared to be about Carson and her celebrity partner Robert Irwin’s last dance routines.
“Sooooo freaking good!!!!” McAllister gushed.
Although Carson deleted her original post within minutes of sharing it on Instagram, a speedy “DWTS” fan managed to get a screenshot before uploading it to Reddit.
Users rushed to the comments section to express their surprise about Carson’s remark regarding Dylan, 33, and Zac Efron, 38.
“The shade, she could have cropped that one out,” one person wrote.
“This is so rude to say let alone post,” added another. “If he really wanted to get votes that desperately he could’ve had Zac there every week.”
“Yeah this is not a good look for her,” commented a third fan. “Why would she post this, its not like she hasnt done the same thing every week with the Irwin fam.”
The Post has reached out to Carson and Dylan’s reps for comment.
As for the results of the “DWTS” Season 34 finale, Carson and Irwin ultimately brought home the Mirrorball Trophy.
Dylan and his partner, Daniella Karagach, placed fourth, while influencer Alix Earle and Val Chmerkovskiy scored second, Olympic gold medalist Jordan Chiles and Ezra Sosa snagged third, and actress Elaine Hendrix and Alan Bersten finished fifth.
“My sister said it best: thank you for changing my life,” Irwin, whose sister Bindi and her partner Derek Hough previously won “DWTS” Season 21, said after his victory.
“I’m so grateful for Robert, honestly, I already feel like I won with him as my friend, and I can’t thank you enough,” Carson added.
However, some viewers weren’t thrilled to see the pair awarded first place.
“Robert was reported to have a rib injury just hours before performing, so I guess they had to modify the chorey and tone it down a bit,” one fan wrote on social media after the finale. “You don’t see any of Robert’s amazing lifts and tricks like in the past weeks.”
“I love Robert and Witney, but I agree that the 2 dances looked a bit flat,” a second person said.
“I felt something was off, I don’t think this was a legit 30/30,” another viewer shared.
Dylan, meanwhile, shared a heartfelt message to the 21-year-old wildlife conservationist following their final night competing against one another on “DWTS.”
“Congrats,” the “Traitors” alum wrote on Instagram on Tuesday night. “This experience was made better with you alongside, can’t wait to hang out in the wild.”
“Dude you are the best,” Steve Irwin’s son responded in the comments. “I’m so happy I got to be on this season with you. Catch you soon mate.”
