Dua Lipa confirmed she’s engaged to actor Callum Turner in an interview with British Vogue published Thursday.
“Yeah, we’re engaged. It’s very exciting,” Lipa, 29, shared.
The pop star revealed that Turner, 35, had the engagement ring made for her after consulting her best friends and her sister, Rina Lipa.
“I’m obsessed with it. It’s so me. It’s nice to know the person that you’re going to spend the rest of your life with knows you very well,” she said.
When asked about the wedding, Lipa said nothing is planned yet.
“I want to finish my tour, Callum’s shooting, so we’re just enjoying this period. I’ve never been someone who’s really thought about a wedding, or dreamt about what kind of bride I would be,” she explained. “All of a sudden I’m like: ‘Oh, what would I wear?’”
Lipa added: “This decision to grow old together, to see a life and just, I don’t know, be best friends forever – it’s a really special feeling.”
The Grammy winner also confirmed that she’d “love to have kids one day.”
“But it’s like the constant question of when would there ever be a good time – how it would fit in with my job and how it would work if I went on tour, and how much time out I’d have to take,” she told the outlet.
“I think it’s just one of those things that’s going to happen when it happens. I love kids, but I think there’s so much more to raising a child than just loving children.”
Lipa and Turner first met at the the River Cafe in London. A year later, Lipa was having dinner with a friend in Los Angeles when Turner showed up. She told British Vogue that she thought to herself: “Oh, it’s that really hot guy from the River Cafe.”
The pair were even reading the same book at the time. When asked if she thought that meant they were destined to be together, she replied, “One thousand percent.”
The lovebirds were first linked in January 2024 when Lipa attended an after party for the premiere of Turner’s Apple TV+ miniseries “Masters of the Air.”
That summer, they became Instagram official when Lipa posted two photos of her man in her recap from the 2024 Glastonbury Festival. In one of the images, Turner kissed Lipa’s head with his arm around her shoulders.
Around Christmas time, Lipa sparked rumors that the pair were engaged when she showed off a diamond ring on her finger.
The stars later made their red carpet debut as a couple at the 2025 Met Gala in May.
Lipa previously dated Gigi and Bella Hadid’s brother, Anwar, from 2019 to 2021.
Turner, meanwhile, was in a four-year relationship with “The Crown” and “Fantastic Four” actress Vanessa Kirby until 2020.
