Diana Ross is not sailing the high seas as planned.
The singer, 81, suddenly canceled her appearance on Royal Caribbean’s “Star of the Seas” showcase cruise that is taking place later this month.
“Due to unforeseen circumstances, Diana Ross will be unable to appear,” a rep for Ross told People on Tuesday.
“We are disappointed that Diana Ross is unable to join us to be godmother of ‘Star of the Seas,’” a representative for Royal Caribbean told The Post. “We look forward to announcing our new godmother soon.”
The Post has reached out to Ross’ rep for comment.
Ross was named the “godmother” of the cruise line’s second Icon Class ship in June.
The “I’m Coming Out” singer was set to sail on the showcase cruise out of Port Canaveral, Florida on Aug. 20. The voyage is expected to last three days and bring guests to Perfect Day at CocoCay, Royal Caribbean’s private island in the Bahamas.
Ross is also set to kickoff her Beautiful Love tour in the US on Saturday in Saratoga, Calif. She will play a total of eight shows through Nov. 8. Ross finished the UK leg of her tour in July.
In June, Ross told People, “I’ve always felt a deep connection to the ocean and the magic it represents — peace, adventure and awe. When Royal Caribbean reached out to invite me to be the godmother of Star of the Seas, I knew it was something truly special.”
Ross, who has five kids and eight grandchildren, also revealed that her whole family was invited on the cruise.
“That’s really what this ship is all about joy and family fun,” she stated.
Elsewhere in the interview, Ross said that her current priorities in life are “health and well-being.”
“And my family is everything to me,” she noted. “I like staying busy. Because I love what I do, it keeps me grounded. I’m swimming a lot lately to stay flexible. I must get my sleep which is important to me. I do my best to eat well, but I do like Häagen-Dazs ice cream.”
In March, Ross told fans at a sold-out show in Brooklyn that she will “never retire.”
