Pamela Bach’s cause of death has officially been released, three weeks after her shocking passing on March 5.
The ex-wife of “Baywatch” star David Hasselhoff died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head, according to the death certificate obtained by TMZ.
Bach’s passing was ruled a suicide, per the certificate, which also revealed she used a revolver and was cremated.
Law enforcement sources told the outlet that Bach’s family members had not heard from her and grew worried, so they checked on her at her Los Angeles home — where her body was discovered.
She was declared dead at the scene by paramedics. Bach reportedly did not leave a suicide note.
Bach was 62 years old and had two daughters — Hayley Hasselhoff, 32, and Taylor Ann Hasselhoff, 34 — with the actor, whom she was married to from 1989 to 2006.
After her death, Bach’s neighbor claimed that Hayley was the alleged family member who discovered her and detailed the reported chaos that ensued.
“She was hysterical, yelling, screaming, crying on the street,” the neighbor told Daily Mail at the time. “She was crying, saying, ‘I just want to get my car.’”
They added, “A little later, [Hayley] came out with police. I heard her crying and somebody was trying to comfort her.”
Hayley broke her silence on her mother’s suicide on March 14.
“Mom, last night was one of the hardest. I don’t know if it’s because it’s been a week since your passing or the synchronization of the rain tonight, just like the night of. I pray that one day I can find comfort in the sound of rain again, as it’ll symbolize your spirit going to heaven, but for now, all I hear is my heart aching for you,” Hayley wrote, posting a photo of her mom holding her as a child.
“This yearning is unlike anything I’ve ever known, but I need you to know that I will love you in every form. I’m choosing to be strong for you to make you proud,” she continued.
“Taylor and I are staying strong, carrying the pride you instilled in us and protecting one another, knowing that the bond you taught us to cherish will always guide us. This unbreakable bond will stay with us forever. We will make you proud, I promise,” she wrote.
Hayley concluded, “‘I love you’ will never be enough because my whole heart is yours, and it always will be. I love you my beautiful, beautiful mama until the end of time.”
Taylor also addressed her mom’s sudden passing, saying, “You are my best friend, my whole heart, my everything. I promise to make you proud & celebrate you every day.”
She also promised Bach that her daughter, London, whom she welcomed in August, “will know all about how incredible” her grandmother was and that she’d “protect Hayley forever.”
Hasselhoff released a statement after his ex-wife’s death, too.
“Our family is deeply saddened by the recent passing of Pamela Hasselhoff,” he wrote on his social media.
“We are grateful for the outpouring of love and support during this difficult time but we kindly request privacy as we grieve and navigate through this challenging time.”
Taylor has since filed to control her late mother’s estate, which was valued at $840,000.
Bach had her own Hollywood career. She met Hasselhoff on the set of “Knight Rider” in 1985. She also starred with him in “Baywatch” during their marriage.
