Someone call a lifeguard.

David Hasselhoff, 72, sparked serious concern this week when he was spotted using a wheelchair to get around the airport following his ex-wife’s shocking suicide.

Photos of the former “Baywatch” star showed Hasselhoff being pushed along by airport attendants before leaving Cancun, Mexico, on Monday, May 6.

Additional pictures caught the actor, clad in a striped button-down shirt, dark trousers, a baseball hat and rainbow socks, being assisted once again upon his return to LAX hours later.

But despite his concerning appearance, the former “Knight Rider” star flashed a smile and gave an encouraging thumbs-up to the cameras before slowly easing himself out of the wheelchair and grabbing hold of his 45-year-old wife, Hayley Roberts.

Hasselhoff tried to put everyone’s worry at ease by reportedly telling fans at LAX that he was only in a wheelchair because he is set to undergo knee surgery “next week.”

The actor’s rep confirmed his upcoming operation with The Post on Wednesday, adding, “David is doing fine and actually he and [his] wife were returning from a great vacation in Cancun last week.”

However, insiders claimed that his health is declining.

“David is living on borrowed time and has lived hard,” a source close to Hasselhoff told Daily Mail after the concerning photos emerged. “He had a life that people could only dream of, but he also spent decades self-medicating through alcohol and other substances, which he does regret.”

The insider added that the former “The Young and the Restless” soap star’s health “has been declining for some time now” due to “decades of alcoholism.”

“He is in his 70s and has had several major operations, including having a defibrillator fitted to prevent a heart attack,” they said. “He is sober now but knows that every surgery could be the last.”

The actor’s concerning appearance in Cancun and LA comes just two months after his ex-wife, Pamela Bach, tragically committed suicide inside her Hollywood Hills home. She was 62.

Although Hasselhoff reportedly did not attend Bach’s funeral, he did say in a statement after her death that his family was “deeply saddened” by her passing.

“Our family is deeply saddened by the recent passing of Pamela Hasselhoff,” he wrote on Facebook on March 6. “We are grateful for the outpouring of love and support during this difficult period but kindly request privacy as we grieve and navigate through this challenging time.”

Bach died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head, according to her death certificate.

Hasselhoff and the actress met on the set of “Knight Rider” in 1985. They married in 1989 and worked together again on “Baywatch” from 1991 to 2000.

Although the pair divorced in 2006, they continued to litigate spousal support until 2017. They also had two daughters together: Taylor, 35, and Hayley, 32.

Before Bach, Hasselhoff was married to actress and singer Catherine Hickland, 69, from 1984 to 1989.
