Chris Pratt is setting the record straight about how he met his wife, Katherine Schwarzenegger.
The “Guardians of the Galaxy” star shot down rumors that Katherine’s mom, Maria Shriver, introduced the pair during a chat with Steve Doocy on “Fox & Friends” on Tuesday.
“That’s actually not true,” Pratt, 46, began. “Let’s settle it now.”
“I met my wife in church,” he revealed. “I was at a church in Hollywood, and I looked over, and I saw her. And I know you’re not supposed to be, like, checking out girls at church, but I’m only human. And I thought, ‘Wow, she’s really cute.’”
The “Jurassic World” star was with his oldest son, Jack, when he first noticed Katherine at church. Pratt shares Jack, 13, with his ex-wife, Anna Faris, whom he split from in 2017 after eight years of marriage.
“I was there with my son Jack, and I picked him up from the kids program, and Jack and I met Katherine basically at the same time,” the Marvel star told Doocy.
“And, yes, the rest is history.”
Pratt and Katherine went on to marry in Montecito, California, in June 2019. The ceremony was attended by the bestselling author’s famous parents, Arnold Schwarzenegger and Shriver, as well as her siblings, Christina, Patrick and Christopher Schwarzenegger.
Since tying the knot six years ago, the celebrity power couple has welcomed three children of their own: daughter Lyla, 5, daughter Eloise, 3, and son Ford, 13 months.
But elsewhere during his appearance on “Fox & Friends” this week, Pratt revealed whether his and Katherine’s kids “know that their dad is one of the most famous people on Earth.”
“No, I will at some point, when the time is right,” the “Parks and Recreation” alum explained. “I got a 1-year-old, a 3-year-old and a 5-year-old.”
“Now, Jack, who’s 13, has seen everything, but my three youngest have yet to really get into that,” he continued. “Which is interesting, because we were at a coffee shop the other day and we were in Malibu, and these young ladies from the Pepperdine volleyball team were like, ‘Hey, do you think we could get a picture?’”
But because Pratt was with his daughters, he kindly chose not to pose for a picture with the volleyballers.
“I was with my girls, I was like, you know, ‘I don’t really do that when I’m with them because they don’t know what I do and they don’t know what this is, but what’s your name?’” he shared. “It was so nice, and I didn’t — and we had an interaction.
“They were looking at me like, ‘Why do those people want to take a picture with you?’ I was like, ‘I don’t know. I think they’re crazy,’” the “Lego Movie” star joked.
As for the holiday season, Pratt revealed that he and his family are trying a new Christmas tradition this year – besides starting to decorate on Nov. 1.
“Obviously, the holidays are fantastic; everyone loves all the holidays and Christmas, but it’s pretty stressful,” he told Doocy. “And so the idea is, through the course of December, you find just a prayer challenge to pray every day, find a space in your life.”
“It’s, you know, less than 10 minutes a day on the app to really just center yourself,” Pratt concluded.
