Cher’s 48-year-old son, Elijah Blue Allman, was rushed to the hospital after overdosing in Joshua Tree, California on Saturday morning, according to TMZ.

Elijah is reportedly still in the hospital and β€œreceiving the best care possible,” the outlet reported on Sunday.

TMZ added that Elijah is β€œlucky to have survived.”

It’s unclear what drugs Elijah was using.

Sources told TMZ that Cher, 79, is focused on her son’s well-being and isΒ β€œdoing everything she can to get him the help he needs.”

The Post has reached out to Cher for comment.

Elijah’s father was the late Southern rockstar Gregg Allman, whom Cher was married to from 1975 to 1979. He died of complications from liver cancer at age 69 in May 2017.

Elijah has dealt with substance abuse issues since he was a kid.

In 2014, he told Entertainment Tonight that he started using drugs at age 11. β€œI [was] just looking to escape all the things in my past and, that’s when you turn to those kind of drugs, you know heroin and opiates,” he said.

β€œ[Heroin] kind of saved me. If I didn’t have that at that point, I don’t know what I would have done,” Elijah added. β€œYou may jump off a bridge. If you can only just go through that time period and live through it and then get help.”

He also recalled having β€œsome close calls and some moments of really feeling at the edge of mortality.”

In Dec. 2023, CherΒ applied to place her son in a conservatorship, claiming he could not β€œsubstantially manage his own financial resources” because of β€œsevere mental health and substance abuse issues.”

β€œAny funds distributed to Elijah will immediately be spent on drugs, leaving Elijah with no assets to provide for himself, and putting Elijah’s life at risk,” the legal documents stated.

She also claimed that Elijah’s estranged wife, Marieangela King, was a bad influence on her son and actively worked against her efforts to get him help.

King, for her part, accused the β€œBelieve” singer ofΒ hiring four men to kidnap ElijahΒ to send him to a rehab facility.

CherΒ denied King’s kidnapping allegationsΒ and told The Post at the time, β€œI didn’t do it, and if I did it, I wouldn’t say I did it.”

The Goddess of Pop later dismissed the conservatorship caseΒ in September 2024.
