Charlie Sheen, once the highest-paid actor on TV until his Hollywood banishment in 2011, is revisiting the infamous scandal that saw him axed from “Two and a Half Men” at the peak of its popularity.

The actor, 60, has re-entered the spotlight to promote his upcoming memoir “The Book of Sheen” and his warts-and-all Netflix documentary, “aka Charlie Sheen.”

In the latter, Sheen’s former co-star Jon Cryer makes an unexpected appearance to discuss the highs and lows of Sheen’s tumultuous career, marking a reunion of sorts for the once-close colleagues.

Cryer, 60, first revealed last year that the pair – who played brothers Charlie and Alan Harper – hadn’t spoken in years, noting he was still bitter their hugely successful sitcom “fell apart” due to Sheen’s highly publicised drug and alcohol issues.

Ashton Kutcher replaced Sheen, who was being paid $1.8 million per episode in the lead-up to his firing, at the height of the show’s viewership, though ratings never quite managed to recover until it was later cancelled in 2014.

Now in a new interview, Sheen confirmed the duo still aren’t in communication despite Cryer’s involvement in the doc, telling People Cryer was the “only person” he didn’t approach personally to be interviewed.

“And the only reason I didn’t call him was because I didn’t have the right number for him, so the director reached out to him,” Sheen said.

“But when I saw everything that Jon spoke about [in the documentary], so honestly and very compassionately, I wrote to him and I said, ‘Hey, thank you for your contributions, and I’m sorry we didn’t connect personally. I hope to see you around the campus.”

Sheen didn’t hear back, but suspected it was because he still had the wrong phone number for Cryer.

“It’s not like Jon did not respond. He’s super responsible like that. So if you’re reading this, Jon, DM me your new number,” he added.

Sheen, who is now eight years sober, conceded he understood why Cryer has struggled to reconcile their relationship.

“He was in the line of fire with all that stupid s–t going on, and it was affecting him and his family and his career and all that,” Sheen continued.

“I can’t debate anything that he said [in the doc].”

The upcoming two-part Netflix series, which hits streaming September 10, features a slew of big names from Sheen’s personal and professional life, including ex-wives Denise Richards and Brooke Mueller, actor Sean Penn and “Two and a Half Men” creator Chuck Lorre.

Sheen and Lorre also had a decade-long feud, falling out when the actor disgraced his then-boss in a series of interviews which ultimately led to his sacking.

The pair have since reconciled, and even worked together on the 2023 drama “Bookie,” in which Sheen had a cameo as himself.

“We had a wonderful relationship for over eight years on “Two and a Half Men.” And then things happened,” Lorre said to People in 2024.

“And so to find our way back to having that friendship again, and I’m a big admirer of his work, I always have been. It’s never been about the work. The work is impeccable.”

Indeed, Sheen brutally, and very publicly, hit out at Lorre ahead of his firing.

Among the flurry of sprays, Sheen told TMZ in February 2011 he “violently hated” the showrunner, dubbing him “a stupid, stupid little man” before proceeding to challenge him to a fight.

Warner Bros. and CBS acted swiftly, shutting down production for the remainder of the eighth season as Sheen entered rehab.

Sheen’s contract was ripped up the following month and his character was killed off.

“The Book of Sheen” hits shelves September 9, while “aka Charlie Sheen” drops on Netflix September 10.
