Amanda Seyfried is revealing a surprising — and gross — prank Channing Tatum pulled on her while filming their 2010 romance “Dear John.”
“He peed on my leg once without me knowing,” Seyfried told Deadline on Thursday. “He peed on my leg on the beach. And I didn’t realize at first and then I was like, ‘Oh that’s why he’s standing so close to me. What the..?’”
However, Tatum’s, 45, joke almost cost someone else their morning joe.
“There was a coffee cup very close by, and a little bit got in the coffee cup and he ran away,” Seyfried shared. “As I was screaming and one of the makeup artists picked it up and was about to drink it and I saved her.”
But the “Housemaid” star has nothing but fond memories of her time on set.
“It just goes to show the relationship that I had with Channing Tatum in ‘Dear John,’” Seyfried added to the outlet. “He and I effed with each other the entire movie in like a super, super fun way. He’s very, very funny and we had a great time.”
“Dear John” was based on the Nicholas Sparks book and followed the romance between a soldier named John Tyree (Tatum) and college student Savannah (Seyfried).
In 2021, Seyfried took to social media to share behind-the-scenes photos from the pair’s time on location.
The black-and-white shots showed the co-stars making funny faces, with the “Mean Girls” actress captioning her post. “#tbt DEAR JOHN.”
In 2015, Seyfried dubbed Tatum her “favorite co-star thus far.”
“Channing and I have a very similar set behavior,” she gushed to E! News at the time. “We don’t take anything too seriously, but we’re shooting a movie that’s very heavy, all about love and romance. It’s a tear-jerker, so we just like to play around.”
Seyfried became a household name in 2004 thanks to the cult classic film “Mean Girls.”
The “Long Bright River” alum starred in the movie alongside Lindsay Lohan, Rachel McAdams and Lacey Chabert.
In June, Seyfried revealed she has a bone to pick over “Mean Girls” merch.
“I love it,” she told her “Jennifer’s Body” co-star Adam Brody during Variety’s Actors on Actors series at the time. “I really love seeing my face on people’s T-shirts. I’m a little resentful because Paramount still owes me some money.”
“Every store sells ‘Mean Girls’ T-shirts with our faces, photographs!” Seyfried continued. “Don’t I [get something from that]?”
The Emmy winner wondered if she allowed it to happen “because I was 17 and dumb?”
As Seyfried put it: “Ugh. I love it. Even the girl at TSA tells me it’s her favorite movie. And I’m like, ‘Great, I was 17. I had nothing to do with it.’”
Meanwhile, for his part, Tatum shot to stardom in films like “Step Up,” “21 Jump Street” and “Magic Mike.”
Last March, the “Blink Twice” star said that going forward, he won’t work on projects that take a drastic toll on his body.
“I won’t be doing any more fat roles,” Tatum wrote on Instagram at the time. “It’s to[o] hard on the body and to[o] hard to take off now. But damn when I look at these pics, it’s just wild what the human body and will can do.”
He confessed that he was required to weigh in at 235 pounds for his role in the upcoming thriller-drama “Josephine.”
Tatum was then forced to cut down to 175 pounds for the true crime film “Roofman,” which came out this past fall.
“I’m so grateful for my genetics,” Tatum added. “Grateful for my chef/nutritionist/witch. Grateful for my trainer. I couldn’t make these big swings in my weight without you guys.”
