The “Love & Hip Hop” community is mourning the loss of one of their own.
Khadiyah “KD” Lewis has died at age 44, with her brother Jay confirming the news to The Shade Room on Thursday.
“This has been an extremely emotionally devastating time. All prayers, condolences and well wishes are sincerely appreciated,” he told the outlet, adding that Lewis died on May 30.
According to the former reality star’s obituary, her funeral will be held on June 14 at Earl M. Temple Memorial Chapel in Oklahoma City.
Lewis leaves behind her parents, Debra Body and David Clark Lewis Jr., sisters Rasheedah Lewis and Nia T. Hill, and brothers Jamaal Lewis and Ahmedu Elijah Inegbedion.
Lewis was a graduate of North Springs High School and Florida A&M University and had worked as a business and tax consultant, according to the obituary.
A cause of death has yet to be revealed, with the Oklahoma Medical Examiner’s Office telling The Post: “Khadiyah Jaleela Lewis was not a Medical Examiner case and therefore we have no further information.”
The family also shared a statement about her passing.
“At this time, we have decided to not discuss anything surrounding her death or why she passed away. What we would like to do at this time is to offer the many people whose lives she touched an opportunity to celebrate her life through a Zoom Memorial Service on Saturday, June 14, 2025,” the statement read.
Lewis’ brother, Elijah, took to social media to share a touching tribute about his late sibling.
“Been at a lost for words for some days now,” he wrote. “And to think that I’ll ever have the words to describe the person you’ve been and the legacy that you left behind would be erroneous.”
“Long Live my sister Khadiyah Lewis,” he continued. “You left behind a legacy most individuals can only dream of. Thank you for loving me the way you did and always having my back no matter what. God blessed me when he made me your baby brother and for that I am eternally thankful. You are forever on my mind and in my heart. I love you!”
Lewis was featured on “Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta” while dating rapper Yung Joc during Season 3 and became a supporting cast member in Season 4.
By Season 5, Lewis had split from the rapper, 44.
The Post has reached out to Joc’s rep for comment.
Lewis’ Instagram bio reads, “Entrepreneur/Speaker/Consultant/Accountant/LHHATL/BRANDING AMBASSADOR.”
Her last post was a selfie in 2018 that was captioned, “Late Lunch & A Movie…Have A Great Day!”
“Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta” was a spinoff from VH1’s “Love & Hip Hop” and documented rappers in ATL dealing with their careers and relationships.
The series started in 2012, with Season 13 set to air on MTV on Tuesday, July 8.
“The must-see reality juggernaut is back as the cast of industry hitmakers and fresh new faces share their personal stories while bringing to light the drama,” the network’s official logline reads. “Now more than ever, relationships are tested, friendships come and go … and everything isn’t always peachy.”
