Ally Lewber and James Kennedy are stronger than they’ve ever been.
Lewber, 28, spoke to The Post about the “Vanderpump Rules” reboot news, revealing the lack of cameras has been great for her almost three-year relationship with Kennedy.
“We’ve been the best that we’ve ever been. And I think it probably has to do with the fact that we haven’t been filming in a while,” Lewber shared during Tuesday’s event for Mediterranean-inspired pet food brand REÁL MESA at 1 Hotel West Hollywood.
Last month, Bravo announced that “Vanderpump Rules” will return for Season 12 but with a new cast — and Lewber isn’t sweating it.
“I’m excited to just kind of let our relationship almost breathe and not have the pressure [of filming],” she told The Post, adding that she looks forward to starting the new year without a camera crew.
“I think it’ll be nice to just feel like we have some privacy and, like, [we] can actually focus on us,” she shared during the event with their dog, Hippie.
On Nov. 26, the network revealed that the next season of “Vanderpump Rules” will feature Lisa Vanderpump and a new group of “close-knit SUR-vers who are as complicatedly involved with one another as their iconic predecessors.”
Production will begin next year, and casting has yet to be set. However, Lewber had ideas about which SUR servers she’d like to see on the reboot.
“There’s two girls, Demi and Hannah,” she shared. “I love them, and I’m not sure if they’re part of that, but I suspect they are in some way.”
Lewber continued, “I hope that they’re part of it, if that’s what they want.”
She also shared with The Post that the “Vanderpump Rules” cast found out about Bravo’s decision “the night before everyone else.” However, she said they all had their suspicions after a turbulent last season following the “Scandoval” drama.
“So it wasn’t necessarily, like, a big shock, but still shocking, especially for James,” Lewber said, adding that they “had a day or two days to process it,” and now, “It feels right. It makes sense.”
Ally isn’t the only cast member who is looking forward instead of in the rearview mirror amid the reboot news.
The Post caught up with Ariana Madix earlier this week, who had some sound advice for the new “Vanderpump Rules” cast, whoever they may be.
“I would say this sounds cliché, but be yourself. I don’t think it would work to try to be anybody else,” she said at TheWrap’s Power Women Summit 2024 on Tuesday. “And not only that, if you’re comparing yourself to past cast, and I know people say big shoes to fill, and yes, that’s true; but at the same time, if you’re trying to fill those shoes by being someone else, it’s never gonna work.”
“Vanderpump Rules” made its TV debut in 2013 as a spinoff of “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” and followed a group of servers at the West Hollywood restaurant SUR, including Tom Sandoval, Katie Maloney, Scheana Shay,Tom Schwartz, Kristen Doute, Jax Taylor and Stassi Schroeder.
The last three above were axed in 2020 following allegations of racism.
Lala Kent, Raquel Leviss, Kennedy and Lewber joined the cast in later seasons; however, chaos erupted in March 2023 when Sandoval was caught cheating on his then-girlfriend Madix with her best friend Leviss. The scandal was dubbed “Scandoval.”
Cameras quickly caught the aftermath of the affair drama, but Madix refused to film with Sandoval when they returned for Season 11, which turned out to be their last.
