Dutch minister seeks to guard firms from US sanctions

UNITED NATIONS (AP) – Netherlands International Minister Stef Blok says he’ll attempt to shield Dutch and European firms from the “consequences” of the U.S. withdrawal from the Iran nuclear deal in talks with high Trump administration officers.

Blok instructed reporters earlier than addressing a Safety Council assembly Thursday that “the best option for European and Dutch companies would be exemptions” from any U.S. sanctions towards firms doing enterprise with Iran.
